Toadman is looking for a Level Designer to join our team in Stockholm.

If you want to be a part of a small, dedicated game team of around 20 where you’ll be responsible for creating levels from concept to finish, this is the right job for you! The first project you’ll work on is a story-driven space adventure with a colourful cast of characters on a quest to save the galaxy.

Job Description

– Build levels from prototype to finish (conceptualize, design, build, polish)

– Take responsibility to ensure a cohesive game experience

– Work in fast iterations together with your level design colleagues

– Use your knowledge of level design theory to improve the game (what captures the player, how to create an immersive experience, create good pacing etc)

– Manage and fix bugs related to your work

Qualifications

– Driven & passionate about creating games

– Shipped at least 1-2 games

– At least 3 years’ professional experience

– Strong verbal and written communication skills

– Team player able to receive feedback openly, adjusting your work accordingly

Bonus qualifications

– Experience from AAA, first or third person action game

– Experience working with UE4

– Experience working in another game development craft such as art, engineering or QA

Technical Animator

In this role, you’ll be the link between animators, designers and engineers. You’ll help facilitate creation and work on complex and efficient animation systems for player characters, enemies and environments. You’ll be working across two smaller projects worked on by approximately 40 colleagues. One of the projects is a co-op vampire shooter, the other a space-themed RPG.

Job Description

– Collaborate with animators, identifying bottlenecks in the animation pipeline

– Work on solutions together with the game team

– Build and maintain complex blueprints/state machines

– Assist in the design, integration and validation of animation assets

– Share knowledge and provide technical support

Qualifications

– At least 3 years’ professional experience working as a TA

– Experience in UE4

– Rigging and skinning experience

Principal Level Designer

– Responsible for the creative ownership of a large part of the game world, including new ideas and solutions

– Take direction from the Creative Lead, expanding upon their vision as well as giving feedback

– Mentor and give guidance to your level design colleagues

– Hands-on level design work, participating in all stages of development from concept to finalization

– Present levels to stakeholders and act on their feedback

– Lead planning sessions and other meetings for the level design craft

Qualifications

Senior Animator

In this role, you’ll work in a small (~20) cross functional game team. Your days will be spent animating modern witches, vampires and other monsters. Some of your time will be dedicated to coaching other animators, and you’ll be continuously striving towards building an open, friendly work environment. You need to have a great understanding of technical limitations but a will to push boundaries to reach a higher game quality.

– Deliver a wide range of animations (characters and objects)

Senior Designer: focus on core mechanics

We are looking for a mid-level Programmer to join our Berlin-based team working on a new Unreal project.

We are in the early stages of defining and building our new game for PC and major consoles. You’ll be joining a highly talented, diverse team of developers right at the start of our new project. Our offices are located in the heart of Berlin with the iconic TV Tower in sight.

As a part of the programming department, you’ll be expected to be a creative problem solver, work closely with other departments, and implement features in a way that pushes the quality upwards.
