Senior Game Designer for New Game

Working within the creative team you’ll bring your passion, enthusiasm, and love for systemic game design to the studio to help define the very essence of our new project.

Coming onboard during pre-production you’ll be expected to be at ease not only imagining creative gameplay concepts; but also build and balance prototypes within Unreal Engine.

This exciting opportunity to work with a close knit, creative and friendly team is ideal for an experienced designer looking to move into a senior role and wants to leave their mark on the final game.

Responsibilities

– Work with the lead designer to realise the creative vision for the game

– Define, support, and communicate the games designs and systems from prototype through to completion

– Communicate effectively not only within design but with artists and programmers to ensure the proper implementation of game features and systems

– Be a proactive member of the Design team, brainstorming and developing designs, and providing and receiving feedback from other designers

– Work independently and in agile groups to develop prototypes within Unreal Engine

– Design systems that are scalable, versatile and above all fun to interact with

– Empathic to the diversity of audiences and keen to engage with as many different kinds of players as possible

– Generally be an awesome person that takes initiative and builds amazing things!

– Be a master of your field but also identify areas of self-improvement and know when to seek help or advice.

Knowledge & Experience

– At least 5 years experience on PC and console games

– At least 2 shipped titles

– Experience in building and balancing game systems

– Experience in prototyping game features

– Understanding of different player demographics and how design can engage them differently

– Ability to write and manage design documentation

– Solid understanding of trends within the games industry and how games will evolve in the future

– Scripting in Unreal Engine Blueprints or similar visual languages

– Experience with developing in 3D game engines like Unity/Unreal/Frostbite/Cryengine/etc.

– A love for systemic action adventure games

– Experience with Modular Workflow is a plus

Technical Designer for New Game

We are looking for a creative Unreal Engine technical designer that is passionate about creating ambitious games within a small, skilled team.

Working within the design team you’ll bring your years of Unreal experience to the studio to help prototype, develop, and mould the very essence of our new project.

Coming onboard during pre-production you’ll be expected to define clear scripting best practices, help mentor team members on blueprints, and create rapid prototypes with both fellow designers, and team members from other disciplines.

Responsibilities

– Be the key point of contact and evangelist for Unreal Blueprints within the studio.

– Design and implement systems that are scalable, versatile and efficient.

– Work independently and in agile groups to develop prototypes within Unreal Engine.

– Work with the leads and other team members to define, support, and communicate the systems from prototype through to completion.

– Keep up-to-date with Unreal Engine technology, middleware, and tools.

– Teach and knowledge-share with other team members.

– Be a master of your field but also identify areas of self-improvement and know when to seek help or advice.

Knowledge & Experience

– At least 4 years experience on PC or console games

– At least 1 shipped title using Unreal

Mid-level Programmer for New Game

We are looking for a mid-level Programmer to join our Berlin-based team working on a new Unreal project.

We are in the early stages of defining and building our new game for PC and major consoles. You’ll be joining a highly talented, diverse team of developers right at the start of our new project. Our offices are located in the heart of Berlin with the iconic TV Tower in sight.

As a part of the programming department, you’ll be expected to be a creative problem solver, work closely with other departments, and implement features in a way that pushes the quality upwards.

Responsibilities

– Work on prototyping features together with the design team

– Build memorable experiences for our players

– Implement a broad range of features ranging from gameplay, to backend, and UI

– Be a proactive member of the programming team that participates in code reviews

– Implement tasks with an eye for value to end product and a sense of risk

– Taking a game from pre-production all the way to release and post-launch support

Knowledge & Experience

– At least 2 years’ experience on PC and Console games

We are looking for a Lead 3D Artist to help us define the art of our new game in Unreal.

Responsibilities

– Collaborate with the Art Director, Technical Artist and Level Designers to set a high benchmark for production and that the project vision is met

– Work with both internal and external teams to achieve strong visual fidelity that adheres to gameplay restrictions & needs.

– Define the asset and character production pipeline together with the Tech Artist

– Coach and share best practices with the Art Team
