Senior Designer: With focus on Core-mechanics

Join Toadman as a Senior Designer in Stockholm to work on our upcoming space-themed RPG. Read on if you’re looking to be a part of a small, dedicated game team with your focus on shooter core mechanics and combat design.

You’ll be designing third and first person shooter core mechanics and gameplay features in close collaboration with engineers, creative directors, and combat encounter designers. Your work will also include balancing and fine tuning the core gameplay experience.


Job Description

  • Create an interesting, polished and fun combat experience for our players
  • Work closely with the Creative Lead to ensure a cohesive, balanced game experience
  • Drive features from idea to completion, acting on feedback as a part of the creative process
  • Create and maintain feature documentation that supports your team
  • Present your work to stakeholders at different stages of the production


  • At least 5 years’ experience designing PC and console games
  • At least 1-2 shipped titles
  • Experience working with third or first person shooters
  • Passionate about games & a thorough understanding of game development
  • Collaborative team player
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of different player demographics and how to engage them
  • A friendly personality

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with UE4
  • Experience with releasing games on several platforms
  • Experience or interest in Human Interface Design
