Creative Director

We are looking for a Creative Director that is kind & down to earth who is willing to lead a new game for PC & Consoles from start to launch & beyond. You will be a part of the game team's leadership group where you will report to the Lead Producer. 

At Toadman we do two types of projects: 1) Our own titles pitched by someone within the company. These projects are usually small in team size with about 20-45 people. 2) Work for hire projects where we support another game studio for a set period of time. These projects vary in size & complexity. For some work for hire projects our teams are distributed between different countries. In this role we need you to be able to take on either of these types of projects and push for creative quality.

Job Description

• You lead the creative vision of the game incl. working closely with other designers to both set & iterate on the overall vision of the game
• By doing hands on game design work you create a space of productivity & creativity around you that grows team cohesion
• You take responsibility for the overall balance & pacing of the game
• You ensure that the design intention is clearly communicated to everyone involved in the game production via presentations, documentation & workshops
• You are able to coach direct reports (other designers) & help them grow as individuals within your discipline
• You collaborate with the Producer & other leads to ensure that the game production is running smoothly by e.g. lead meetings with the other designers, update milestone documentation etc. 
• You are able to act as an advisor within the company when it comes to game design

Experience & Qualifications

• +10 years of experience within the game industry
• Experience working with cross functional teams
• Inclusive leader
• Proactive problem solver
• Fluent in English both verbal and written
• (Bonus qualification) Speak Swedish or Russian
